I was super excited to see this little beauty by the registers at my local CVS. I am an avid "green" bagger...I take my reusable bags everywhere I go. Now, CVS wants to PAY me to use them!!

Here's what you do: Buy this little guy, attach it to your reusable bag, and have it scanned each time you shop (along with your Extra Care card!!) For every 4 times it is scanned, you'll receive $1 Extra Buck!! Since I shop CVS at least one time per week, I'm thinking those ECBs will be printing out quite often. Yeah!!

My AWESOME Day!!!

So, they are building a new shopping center right at our exit off the highway, about 1 mile from our house. I've been very excited to see what shops we'll get in there, as it's a newly developed area, and we waited 4 years for a grocery store, and we're just now getting more built up around here. Anyway, I drove up to the stop light tonight on my way home and literally screamed when I saw it: a sign saying "CVS, coming soon"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

YIPPIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The next closest CVS is a good 10+ minutes away and this store will be within walking distance!!!! You know where I'll be like 10 times per week. There is one store around me that is very coupon UNfriendly. So, I'm hoping this one will be easier to work with. Oh, I'm so excited, so excited, so excited!!! I had to call my husband and give him the news. I could "feel" him rolling his eyes at me through the phone...I know, such little things bring me such joy!

So, the new store is at K-10 and Woodland; don't know when it is scheduled to open. Right now, there are barely walls up. I'll try to leave you all a few things on the shelves if you decide to visit MY new store!!! 8)~

Now....if only Wags were to open up on the opposite corner. . .

How I Turned a good deal into CASH...

So last week I ran into CVS and saw that they had some good stuff on the clearance endcap. Some of what I saw:

• a one-touch "As Seen On TV" can opener, retails for $19.99, clearanced to $2.50
• Pam cooking spray, $.85
• Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce, $.50
• Frank's Red Hot Sauce, $.75
• PediPaws pet nail file replacement heads, $1.25 each

Being the frugalite I am, I knew I had coupons for the Pam and Frank's at home, so I thought even though a great deal w/o coupon, I'd come back for those with Q in hand. I knew the can opener was an awesome deal but we already have one. And I wanted to look up the PediPaws online. Sure enough, the PediPaws are selling on Ebay for a great price. I returned two days later to find that my can opener, Pam, and Frank's were gone. That's the price I pay for waiting (all to save like $.35!! doh!!). But I got all 5 boxes of the PediPaws, totalling $6 and paid with my ECBs, so nothing OOP. I put them on ebay and today got $30 in my PayPal account for selling them online!! Of course it cost me $5.75 to ship them, but that's a PROFIT of $24.25, CASH!! How awesome is that??
Why tell you this?? Think outside of the box when you shop. When you find an awesome deal, think about resale...I just put a bit of cash in my pocket for very little work...
I'll keep that money in my acct to pay for coupons off ebay. So, I turned my ECBs into cash which will then pay for more coupons, which will score me MORE free stuff. AND, I got a little thrill out of the deal as well... Now that's couponing success!!

Hey, guys, you may want to check out CVS.com for more printables!! Yeah!! They currently have 5 pages of IPs up for grabs, many seem to be CVS store coupons, but several are manufacturer coupons, like the $2 Softsoap/Irish Spring coupon, a $1 Colgate, $1 Listerine Kids, and $1 Softsoap handsoap. I had already printed these twice through coupons.com and got additional prints by going through the CVS website! The $1/2 Bic coupon is on there too, but it stated I had reached my limit...so, maybe YMMV, but I'd suggest stopping by to grab the good coupons while you can!!

I've found that often when people find great finds like this elsewhere in the country, I can never find them at the same price around the KC area, but it's always worth a shot. In case you plan to head to CVS this week, look for Bic Soleil razors with bonus blades attached to the package. These are reportedly ringing up at $2.99 in some locations. Be sure to price check them at the scanners, because the shelf tag may not be updated with the discounted price. Use the $3 MQ from the 6/28SS to get these for FREE (like I need any more of these after getting about 18 for FREE at Wags a while back. But hey--free is free and they donate just fine!). Leave me a comment if you end up finding some at this price at a local CVS...I'm curious!
